Roseblood d'Estoublon
1489 Roseblood Blanc
Coteaux D'Aix-En-Provence
1489 represents the year Château d’Estoublon was founded. It draws inspiration from the magnificent rose garden of Estoublon, where delicate roses meet the intense Provencal sun. Made from AOP Coteaux d’Aix-en-Provence, in the Western part of the Provence region, exclusively from the estate’s vineyards. Meticulous winemaking process of hand-harvested Rolle grapes resulting in a luminous gold wine with floral and fruity notes. This wine is presented in a personalized bottle adorned with a rose, making it a haute-couture cuvée.
Vineyard
The vines face north and northeast and are planted on very deep clay-limestone-marl soils. They are situated on the crater of Provence’s sole volcano, on parcels at altitudes exceeding 1,300 feet. Approximately 10 years old, the vines originate from a massal selection and benefit from the nurturing influence of the Mistral wind.
Winemaking
The hand-harvested bunches are sorted upon arrival at the winery. The whole bunch pressing cycle preserves the natural acidity of the juice. The juice is then cold settled before beginning alcoholic fermentation. Indigenous yeasts naturally present in the grapes are used for fermentation.
Vintage
2023 was a solar and graceful vintage, exhibiting a delightful aromatic expression with interplay of acidity and freshness.
Tasting Note
Beautiful robe of luminous gold with green hues. The nose exhibits great freshness and roundness, with notes of fennel combined with aromas of white peach, toasted brioche, and candied citrus zests. Lively and expressive, the palate evokes ripe fruit with yellow flesh, accompanied by a natural acidity that supports the rich amplitude derived from aging in oak barrels.
