Part of Juvé & Camps’ Milesimé range (Gran Reserva vintage-dated monovarietal bottlings), this Chardonnay grows from a single estate in Penedès. Aged beyond the minimum requirements, it embodies Juvé & Camps’ commitment to the finest quality of Spanish wine.
Vineyard
This wine grows from Juve & Camps’ Can Rius estate in Penedès, a south-facing 16 hectare vineyard with fine-textured soils high in clay and silt. The vineyard benefits from a biodiverse environment with integrated forests and wild edges as well as visits from flocks of sheep in winter and spring.
Winemaking
Only free-run juice is used in the primary fermentation, which occurs in stainless steel and includes malolactic conversion. Following the traditional method, the secondary fermentation occurs in bottle and the wine ages for a minimum of 36 months on its lees.
Tasting Note
Intensely aromatic and complex, with hints of stone fruit and white flowers in front of brioche and hazelnut. Well-balanced with good acidity couched in roundness, it has a stately, elegant finish.
Food Pairing
This complex and balanced sparkling wine will go well with fried foods, oysters, and teriyaki.
